Do I have what it takes to join CASARA?
You might! We look for any combination of skills when selecting new members, especially flight experience, outdoor knowledge and survival, medical, tracking and more. Ongoing team training keeps members ready for their tasks and up to speed in other disciplines.
What makes a good CASARA volunteer?
In addition to the skills required for search and rescue, we’re looking for team members who share a dedication to our communities, the ability to work well together and the willingness to make personal sacrifices to make a difference.
How do I become a member?
CASARA accepts new member applications on an ongoing basis. We schedule interviews with the most promising applicants, or those whose skills we need most at that time. Depending on the outcome of these interviews and the number of open positions, invitations to join are extended. New members will then attend an orientation and start training.
